Cross-country skiing trails in Nauders

General description
At the cross-country skiing trail "Arsangsloipe" the circuit runs from the Bergkastelseilbahn valley station to "Fuhrmannsloch" and back. The trail is a classic double-track trail and mostly leads over quite gentle, partly hilly terrain. This trail is also the perfect circuit for beginners. The Café Restaurant Arsangs at the valley station, the kiosk or pizzerias on the Italian border invite you to stop for a bite.

The cross-country skiing trail "Arsangsloipe" starts directly on the outskirts of Nauders, above Naudersberg Castle. You can start from the edge of the village or at the the Bergkastelseilbahn cable car valley station.

General description
The classic cross-country skiing trail "Moasloipe" runs through a beautiful forest landscape from the "Norbertshöhe" to the "Pflanzgarten" and back again. The trail is more exposed to rough terrain and therefore technically more demanding to run. However, the scenic view of the Engadine compensates for this. Refreshments are available at the restaurant Gasthof Norbertshöhe.

Route description
At the Mutzkopf valley station on the outskirts of Nauders, follow the main road in the direction of "Norbertshöhe" until you reach restaurant Gasthof Norbersthöhe, which is on the right-hand side of the road. The entrance to the "Moasloipe" is on the left-hand side of the road opposite the inn.

General description
The classic high-altitude cross-country skiing trail starts above the "Tiefer Gatter" and leads to the natural jewel of "Schwarzer See" lake. The special thing about it is that the start of the cross-country skiing trail is just above 1574 metres. Once you reach the top, you will experience a breathtaking winter landscape in the Tyrolean mountains. Refreshments are available at the Riatschhof Inn.
Tip: The best way to get to the start is on foot. Footpath approx. 30 minutes from the Mutzkopf valley station.

Route description
From the Mutzkopf valley station, on the outskirts of Nauders, a winter hiking trail leads in the direction of Riatschhof and Mutzkopf to the start of the "Schwarzer See" high-altitude cross-country skiing trail just above the "Tiefer Gatter".

General description
The classic, circular cross-country skiing trail "Reschenloipe" can be combined several times. You can start from restaurant Gasthof Martha via the cross-country skiing trail "Libaneresloipe", which then merges into the the cross-country skiing trail "Reschenloipe" at the valley station, or at the Bergkastelseilbahn cable car valley station. The trail leads across the slightly hilly "Arsang" meadows in the direction of "Fuhrmannsloch". With a short ascent and equally long descent, the trail leads to the border. Here you can cross the federal road and continue to the Reschensee lake, where the sunken church tower of Graun/Curon rises out of the ice. You can find refreshment stops right at the national border.

The classic and skating cross-country skiing trail "Libaneresloipe" leads from the edge of the village to the valley station and back again. From the valley station you can join other trails. The trail is the perfect circular route with one or two slight ascents and descents. Refreshment stops: Restaurant Gasthof Martha or Restaurant Arsangs at the valley station.
Tip: The best way to get to the start is on foot via Alte Straße street past Naudersberg Castle in the direction of the valley station/Gasthof Martha or via the cross-country skiing connecting trail "Oberdorf".
